Soooo...here I am sitting in flash class. Bored as all hell. I like the class and I am learning a lot, but there are so many idiots in this class and we spend an hour going over one little setting. There is this one girl who is such a loudmouth teachers pet, everyone just wants her dead. D:
I sit next to a girl that knows all about the fandom and has been talking to me about it since she saw my background on my laptop. Shes cool about it...I showed her some of my clean art and swapped aim names.
School is going alright, I managed to take all boring classes this semester, but I will pass them all no problem so its all good!

So, I have been drawing more since I got into digital art...been trying to get my name out there in the fandom so people at cons will be all like "Oh hey I know you...here's $15 for a badge" :D
I find myself enjoying the hobby more and more. At first it was a bit of a chore, but it is fun nonetheless. It is very hard work though, and with all the porn getting more page views on FA sometimes I wonder why I am spending time on this art nobody is going to look at. Meh...it's all practice. I have taken a few commissions and they are moving smoothly. I am very quick when it comes to getting paid art done as long as I have good communication with my clients. I am a bit of a perfectionist so I like to make sure they customer is happy at every stage in the drawing's life.
So yeah...keep an eye out for my name and all that. If you see my art on fchan or e621 let me know. Just curious. I think that's one of the mile markers for a furry artist, seeing your stuff on fchan. xD
If you aren't watching me over at FA, I am @ http://www.furaffinity.net/user/neokai

Finally let go of the IS. After getting 15mpg city (optimistic) for 6 months I realized that I wasn't enjoying the car enough to warrant that kind of expenditure on gas.
Yesterday I traded the IS in for an 08' Si Sedan, Fiji Blue with Nav. I love this car, I have always liked the Si sedan since it was a concept car and I really enjoy everything about it. It handles really well for a FWD car, and the gearbox and clutch are a blast to use in traffic or scooting around town. It was a hard decision to let go of RWD, but after driving the Si I really couldn't feel any downfalls for the type driving I will be doing in the car. I have the 335i for the track and fun, and I needed something that gets better mileage than the IS300 and had a warranty for daily driving. Not to mention much cheaper insurance.
The only thing that bothers me as of yet are the tires. They are Michelin all seasons and they suck big time, I will be replacing them with Toyo Proxes 4 soon.

I hacked the nav last night, changed the startup screen to what you see above. :p

Those of you in the DC Metro area all know how hot/humid is has been lately, makes me wanna sleep/eat alot. I haven't been getting much done over the past few weeks...I have just felt very drained and lazy. Yesterday Wolflord, Iberian, and I changed out my engine coolant and installed a piggyback ECU device that was supposed to be paired with my intake. I had a hard time tracking down the little black box, as the company that made it and the intake went under a few years back due to the CEO going to jail (rumor I heard).
Thanks to my bf's seemingly professional knowlege of wiring techniques we were able to install the piggyback properly, unlike the people who owned it before, who used clips and some tape. After finding Wolflord's 30 year old soldering iron was kinda dead, we walked to Radio Shack to get a new one. When we got back we still couldn't get the solder to melt with the new iron, so we walked back a second time to get some thinner stuff, and it worked fine. We got everything connected and running perfectly, and with the coolant done I can have a little peice of mind in this super hot weather.
I am going to have my car dynod in a few weeks to see if the "tune" will make a difference. I made 198whp untuned with just some used exhaust/intake parts, so even a small gain will be worth it.
I also got my new tires on. Thanks to Atlantic Motorsports I was able to get my 245/40/17 General UHP in one day, and I had them mounted the same day I got them. Not a bad deal at $355 for the set, and I have a buddy that mounts and balances at a local NTB put them on for free. So far I am happy, the sidewalls are a bit soft but they are grippier than the Proxes 4. I plan on running the last two auto-x events at Fedex, so with the coilovers and tires I should be able to shave a second or two off my already impressive times. I am having the car finally aligned on the 14th at 9:30am at AutoWorld.
Today is supposed to be about 105....wonderful. -.-

My significant other is stuck in a NJ craphole for at least a week for business, and I am probably going to lose my mind. Its not like I see him enough in the first place, and now its a continuous week of not seeing him at all. To make matters worse we were supposed to get together for a small while later this past weekend but he didnt have the time. Hopefully I will be able to see him saturday evening if all goes as planned.
On another note, I broke my transmission last week. I do not have a warranty, but I got lucky and the replacement and labor were covered by Lexus. I brought to their attention that I had had previous issues with the transmission since I bought the car back in November. Lexus had record of this and saw this as enough evidence to back up a free replacement. It also didnt help that they were dicks when I first brought in the car, so they were willing to go to any lengths to get good ratings with the corporate office. (Lexus of Rockville are #1 in customer satisfaction in the US)
Not much else going on, jsut working my two jobs as usual. Both are going well, and I am enjoying a temporary part time schedule with the government. At the FDA I have been more of a handyman tyhe past week than a computer nerd...I have been assembling the mass delivery of cabinets, chairs, and desks that have ben arriving over the past month. It is rather refreshing to use some actual brain power and to get out from behind my two big ass flat panel headache inducers.
My bonus should also be going in sometime next month....that will fund my coilovers. My new tires are coming in on Wednesday! This will be the first time I will have had matching tires on my car, and it doesnt help that both pairs of bridgestones currently on the car (RE092 and RE040) are both crappy tires to say the least. My new rubber is Toyo Proxes 4, picked them up for $81 a pop, $360 shipped for all 4.

The Everything Test
There are many different types of tests on the internet today. Personality tests, purity tests, stereotype tests, political tests. But now, there is one test to rule them all.Traditionally, online tests would ask certain questions about your musical tastes or clothing for a stereotype, your experiences for a purity test, or deep questions for a personality test. We're turning that upside down - all the questions affect all the results, and we've got some innovative results too! Enjoy :-)

It feels like weeks since I updated LJ, prolly because when I am sick time seems to be cruel and go slowly. Been a very busy week. I have been working full time (40hrs/week) this pay period, and its taking some time to adjust to. I need the money, so its for the best.
It was a nice weekend...alot went on. Friday night I stayed over at Tango and Iberian's place. Saturday I went to VA for an IS300 meet and dyno day. That was alot of fun. I got to meet alot of the local IS300 owners that I had been talking to on the forums. The most powerful IS300 couldnt run on the dyno because of a problem with his fuel management, he couldn't load the maps for running C16 race gas, so his car wouldn't run. The next best IS put down 502rwhp @ 18psi, which is low for that car, since he is running a GT35R. He said that on race gas at about 32 pounds he can hit over 700hp. On the forums he posted a dyno sheet of his car pulling 720rwhp.
Saturday night I sent over to Tango and Iberian's again for a small meet. I had alot of fun, wished I was a little more awake, but I had fun anyway. After I left their place, which I shouldnt have done since it was so icy, I ended up hitting a patch of black ice on the way home. The car started to fishtail when I hit a grate on the road, I fought the spin for long enough for a turn lane to open up, but I still got a little crack on my front bumper and a dent in my exhaust. No big deal, I handled it really well and if I hadnt fought like I did I would have hit the curb alot harder and would have fucked up a wheel or something. You cant understand the lack of control when you drive over ice until you have experienced it. You have absolutely no control.
Sunday was a pretty boring day until around 1, when I met up with Wolflord, Tango, and Iberian to see Ghost Rider, which I enjoyed. I hung around there till pretty late and drove home in an icy environment again. But I kept it under 25 the whole way, so I had no problems. I learned my lesson!
